We all had a great time at the Summit, we especially want to thank Bill Davis for being so generous to donate tickets for the truck race!

A big thanks to Johnny and Donna Vines for all of their hard work!

Here is a message from our President, Johnny Vines:

While the thoughts and memories of the 2008 Summit are fresh on our minds I would like to tell each of you THANK YOU!

We in the Southeast have quite a bit to be proud of in the activities, programs and fellowship that we hosted for the IBBA.  We could not have accomplished what we did without the tireless effort of so many.

First and foremost let me thank each of you for taking the time away from home to attend and participate in the Summit.  I hope that we succeeded in extending the Southern Hospitality to all those coming from other areas of the country.

To each SBBA board member, thank you for your input, support and hard work.  Each of you added an important part to help make the function a success.

I would be negligent if I did not single out a few extra mile members:

Bill and Gail Davis, what SBBA supporters!  It would be nearly impossible to put into words what their contribution did to increase attendance and excitement for the Summit.  Bill went beyond the call of duty in entertaining our organization with an opportunity few have ever had the chance to experience.

Susan and Don Cullen worked tirelessly from beginning to end, from the planning, preparation, and working at the event.  They too contributed so much.

A thank you to Joe and Joy Reznicek.  Joe, with his expertise in the cattle industry, scheduled outstanding and educational speakers for the programs each day.  And to Joy a special accolade for her help with advertising and for all the help she has given to me through out the years in Alabama Brangus and the Southeast.

My friend and yours Doug Williams, our vice president and expert resource, helped this plumber/wannabe cattleman try to get the job done with direction and support and humor.

For our entire Summit sponsors who gave so generously to help underwrite the expenses of the Summit a BIG Thank You to:

Brinks Brangus of Camp Cooley and Ultimate Genetics

Chimney Rock Cattle Company

Florida Brangus Breeders Association

Southeast Brangus Breeders Association

Alabama Brangus Breeders Association

Blount County Farmers Cooperative

Draggin M Ranch

Flying C Brangus

McCreary Farms

Miller Brangus

Salacoa Valley Brangus

Char-No Farm

Greuel Family Brangus

Quail Creek Brangus

And last but not least, to the IBBA staff and especially Carolyn and Frances, good job!  Your hard work, patience, preparation and positive attitude during the busy, hectic days and nights of the Summit was so appreciated.

Donna and I enjoyed being with each of you.  Getting to know you and spending time with folks having like interests and concerns was great.  We are looking forward to seeing each of you again soon.
